PHILADELPHIA CITY ROWING
Marketing and Social Media Manager | Philadelphia, PA | March 2019–Present
Full-time hybrid since 2022; previously part-time and remote.

  • Lead marketing, communications, sponsorship, and digital strategy as PCR's primary communications professional, supporting fundraising, donor stewardship, alumni engagement, events, and partnerships.

  • Produced PCR's 2026 Wawa Foundation Hero Award application video, helping the organization become one of four finalists selected from 553 nonprofit applicants, then led the two-week public voting campaign that helped PCR win a $50,000 grant in a competition that generated 9,450 votes.

  • Lead sponsorship, communications, promotion, participant outreach, guest experience, vendor coordination, on-site logistics, and post-event reporting for the Philadelphia Indoor Classic, PCR's primary annual fundraising event. The event grew to 275 competitors from 29 clubs, over 400 spectators, nine cash sponsors, 31 in-kind partners, and $25,325 in net revenue in its second year.

  • Launched the event's Media Relay Cup, coordinating outreach, scheduling, communications, and promotion for teams from NBC10, Telemundo 62, NBC Sports Philadelphia, and KYW Newsradio.

  • Designed and now co-lead a paid visual media internship for four high school students, creating the curriculum, project structure, training, equipment and account-access systems, approval workflow, and publishing process while guiding students through assignments, feedback, revisions, and deadlines.

  • Lead annual fundraising campaigns across email, web, social media, video, direct mail, and print.

  • Write and edit fundraising appeals, donor and alumni communications, event materials, sponsorship proposals, presentations, impact reports, and stakeholder correspondence.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on major gift proposals, leading design and production.

  • Designed and built a portfolio website supporting an Emmy Award-winning makeup artist’s application to IATSE Local 798, organizing nine required competency areas through step-by-step process documentation alongside 30 years of film and television credits and awards.

  • Developed the brand identity for an antique and decorative arts startup, including its logo, website, and proposal materials, helping secure its first commercial commission for a restaurant in Avalon, New Jersey.

  • Served on the coaching staff of UCO’s 2021 NCAA Division II National Championship-winning team.

  • Managed and created content for the team’s Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts, highlighting student-athletes, competitions, team culture, and program accomplishments.

  • Developed and produced a 46-minute virtual event during COVID-19 to bring together UCO rowing athletes, families, alumni, coaches, and university leadership when the traditional in-person event could not be held.
